Food Service Manager

Meltwich Food Co. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Hire and manage food service staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient operations.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and train staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
- Ability to estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Permanent full-time position with 35 hours of work per week.
