About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Paul Kler Mini Food Market. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers, while also ensuring that our food offerings are fresh, seasonal, and of the highest quality.

Food Preparation and Presentation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Kitchen Operations Management

Supervise and manage kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all food preparation and presentation tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Staff Training and Development

Train and develop kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties to the highest standards.

Cross-Cultural Awareness and Training

Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, and cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role

Work Language

English

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week
