About the Role

Siemen's Gamesa Renewable Energy Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Renewable Energy Operations Manager to join their team in Canada.

Location: The position will be based in Oakville, Ontario, with occasional travel to customer sites within and outside of Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of strategies, policies, processes, and methods for service operations activities, both technically and commercially, for assigned organizational units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement defined superior policies and guidelines, and define and ensure implementation of function-specific processes, procedures, methods, and/or tools.
  • Ensure the delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, and profitability.
  • Implement workforce development measures to enhance the skills and knowledge of site personnel.
  • Act as a primary escalation contact to customers and resolve issues with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise and conduct negotiations of and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Support in developing service leads to drive business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regional laws and regulations.
  • Manage organization unit(s) assigned, leading and/or coordinating dedicated staff.

Requirements:

  • A passion for renewable energy and a sense of leadership to drive change.
  • Relevant experience from the wind industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to pass on knowledge to site personnel with varied competency.
  • Broad understanding of wind turbine technologies.
  • Understanding of turbine interface tools used locally within the turbine or remotely.
  • Advanced IT skills including all aspects of MS Office.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to departmental processes and procedures.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to the role, working away from home and unsociable hours when required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Licence to work in Canada, with ability to hold a valid Passport and Driver's License.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $160,000 CAD, depending on experience, plus benefits and other perks.
