We are seeking an accomplished professional with a strong background in commercial insurance brokerage to lead our Montreal Risk team as the Chief Risk Officer for Commercial Services.

About This Opportunity

This role offers the unique opportunity to work with diverse global teams, delivering innovative services to our largest complex clients. You will drive performance excellence through leadership and application of our 3x3 plan, focusing on Aon Client Leadership.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating sales and service programs against national standards and goals, supporting regional business targets under the direction of the Market leader for the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with diverse global teams to deliver innovative services to our largest complex clients.
  • Drive performance excellence through leadership and application of our 3x3 plan, focusing on Aon Client Leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate sales and service programs against national standards and goals, supporting regional business targets.
  • Direct focused client service, retention, and development of new clients in the region based on pre-agreed financial goals and branch business plan.
  • Promote, manage, and drive accountability for the sales "pipeline" to increase the percentage of sales closed, including direct prospects and interdependent sales team initiatives within the region.
  • Shared accountability for branch performance results, working with Account Managers to identify, spearhead, and leverage new market and client service opportunities within the local community.
  • Visibly represent Aon within the local community and through participation in professional, business, and community associations, establishing targeted business networking strategies and using these networks and platforms to drive new business for the region.
  • Shared accountability for performance development, cross-training, and succession planning initiatives in support of attraction, retention, and motivation of key branch talent.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess progressive experience in commercial insurance brokerage with a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a regional/specialty/branch leadership role. They will have demonstrated leadership presence in the risk community and within the market.

A post-secondary degree in a business-related program and/or equivalent experience is preferred. Professional designations such as CIP, FCIP, and CRM are preferable, or working towards similar coupled with QC Insurance license.

Bilingualism (French-English) is required for this position.
