Knight Therapeutics is a leading specialty pharmaceutical company in Canada and Latin America, with a focus on acquiring, in-licensing, out-licensing, marketing, and commercializing innovative prescription pharmaceuticals.
Job OverviewThis role is responsible for managing the risk management function across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit, risk management, and compliance, with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on risk management initiatives.
We are offering a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential financial and operational risks
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, operational processes, and compliance
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on risk management initiatives
- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to internal policies and legal requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting, with a CPA title preferred
- At least 10 years of work experience in relevant areas of internal/external audit/IT audits/compliance
- Excellent knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and industry-specific regulations
- Proven capability to lead audit projects, supervise, coach, and collaborate with team members
- Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple deliverables effectively
