About the Role:
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nurses to ensure they are providing safe and effective care to patients.
- Respond to concerns from patients, families, and healthcare staff, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, including regular meetings and one-on-one coaching.
- Investigate and document patient safety incidents, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Engage patients and families in their care, and provide education and support to promote health and well-being.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and collaborate to achieve shared goals.
Requirements:
- Current RN or RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse.
- Palliative experience an asset.
- Comprehensive patient health assessment skills required.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
- Commitment to professional development in clinical practice.
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
