Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support nurses to ensure they are providing safe and effective care to patients.
  • Respond to concerns from patients, families, and healthcare staff, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, including regular meetings and one-on-one coaching.
  • Investigate and document patient safety incidents, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Engage patients and families in their care, and provide education and support to promote health and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and collaborate to achieve shared goals.

Requirements:

  • Current RN or RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Palliative experience an asset.
  • Comprehensive patient health assessment skills required.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines required.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to professional development in clinical practice.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
