About the Role:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support nurses to ensure they are providing safe and effective care to patients.
  • Respond to concerns from patients, families, and healthcare staff, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and coaching to nurses to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Initiate investigations into patient safety incidents and ensure that action plans are implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure that clinical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Engage patients and their families in their care, providing education and support to help them manage their health.
  • Engage staff in problem-solving and provide coaching and mentoring to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Current RN or RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Palliative experience an asset.
  • Comprehensive patient health assessment skills required.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines required.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to professional development in clinical practice that is relevant to home health care.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
