About the Role

The Production Manager plays a critical role in driving business success and sustainability at PepsiCo Canada. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities associated with the production department, ensuring quality performance, and driving cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure team compliance with all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiencies, improve product quality, and reduce waste.
  • Lead a team of hourly and salaried associates, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business results, including efficiency, yield loss, product quality, and inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and implement plans to address cost performance gaps, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve financial targets.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or operations management.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and cost savings.
  • Strong skills and knowledge in TPM, lean manufacturing, finance, accounting, project management, leadership, and statistics/logical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influence skills, with the ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, with a strong focus on achieving business objectives.
