Key Responsibilities- Staffing Planning: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them.
- Recruitment: Prepare and post notices and advertisements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
- Candidate Evaluation: Review candidate inventories, contact potential applicants to arrange interviews, and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates.
- Job Offer and Onboarding: Notify applicants of results of selection process, prepare job offers, and advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations: Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes, and coordinate termination of employment process.
- HR Administration: Determine eligibility to entitlements, arrange staff training, and supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Certifications: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or equivalent.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in automatic data processing (ADP), information technology, MS Windows, human resources software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Language: Fluency in English.
