Guest Services Agent

The Silver Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Guest Services Agent to provide exceptional service to our hotel guests. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for creating a positive first and last impression for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm and friendly service to guests and team members
  • Comply with company standards and brand standards
  • Interact with guests during check-in and check-out procedures
  • Create and cancel reservations as required
  • Greet incoming and outgoing calls in a professional manner
  • Review logbook and emails daily and complete tasks on the checklist
  • Maintain proper operation of Front Desk telephones and be familiar with daily sell rates
  • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift
  • Work closely with all hotel departments and maintain proper communication
  • Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible
  • Resolve customer complaints and assist with inquiries

Requirements:

  • Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel front desk position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel, with Maestro's or Opera experience an asset
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Self-motivated individual with problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required
