Job Description

The WHS Specialist will promote a positive culture while complying with Amazon standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits, maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems, and supporting management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal & state laws.

Salary

The base salary for this position ranges from $56,000/year up to $84,000/year, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding career in occupational health and safety. The total compensation package may include additional forms of compensation, equity, and benefits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910, experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace. Additionally, candidates must have at least one year of experience in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field, a Bachelor's degree in EHS-relevant background, or 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon.
