At Fraser Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide direct and indirect rehabilitation services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, their support systems, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.

About the Role

  • Provide occupational therapy assessment, intervention, consultation, education, and support services to clients in their homes and community settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans that promote occupational performance and well-being.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to identify goals and strategies for achieving optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities such as client conferences, team meetings, and case consultations.
  • Act as a consultant/resource to community-based agencies and services to support the delivery of effective rehabilitation services.
  • Contribute to program development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Current full registration with the College of Health Care Professionals of BC.
  • Two years' recent experience working with psychiatric clients in an acute or community psychiatric setting.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in outcome measurement tools and data analysis.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $42.56 - $52.95 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Location

This position is based in British Columbia, Canada, and requires occasional travel to community-based locations.
