Amazon is seeking a dedicated Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist to join their team. As a WHS Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive culture while ensuring compliance with Amazon standards and maintaining a safe work environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Program as directed by leadership. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits, maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, and supporting management's efforts to ensure compliance with corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate records and reports to support management's decision-making processes
  2. Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed and new equipment introductions, identifying potential hazards and recommending mitigation measures
  3. Collaborate with management teams to ensure compliance with corporate program expectations and applicable laws
  4. Develop and implement effective training programs to promote workplace safety and health
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary Range: $63,000 - $90,000 per year
