Position Overview

The Pharmacy Assistant Data Entry Lead will be responsible for overseeing the technical and workflow functions of the Data Entry department at CareRx. This includes training new pharmacy assistants in data entry and refill procedures, troubleshooting staff inquiries, investigating incidents, and meeting daily operation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operational duties to support the overall Data Entry department objectives
  • Lead and carry out Data Entry and Refill tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve staff inquiries about the workflow
  • Lead training of new pharmacy assistants and provide work-related feedback to existing staff members
  • Review the daily workflow and report delays to the Manager on duty
  • Investigate incidents as assigned by the pharmacy manager
  • Proactively provide solutions to resolve issues in the department
  • Complete filing requirements in accordance with College regulations
  • Provide timely updates and reports concerns to the Pharmacy Manager
  • Work in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager and Operations Manager to implement corporate initiatives relating to Data Entry workflow efficiency
  • Maintain customer service expectations in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support CareRx

  • This position requires the selected candidate to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day

Preferred Minimum Education and Experience

  • Minimum one year of pharmacy data entry experience
  • Experience with Pharmanet Adjudication and Third Party Billing
  • Experience with Kroll system
  • Experience with MS Office, such as Outlook and Smartsheet, Google Sheets an asset
