We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our management team as a Senior Manager of Community Disability Services. Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage services for people with disabilities, ensuring high-quality client services and a strong health & safety program.
- Support the future vision of service development and delivery, working closely with the Executive Director and management team.
- Supervise and support direct reports, providing guidance and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Develop and administer policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, contracts, and legislation.
- Support the organization's supervisory staff in hiring, onboarding, and performance management practices, promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate and support employees to access training and professional development opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Build employee morale and promote a positive workplace culture, recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance and contributions.
- Network and professionally represent the organization, building relationships with stakeholders and partners to advance our mission and goals.
- Develop internal and external communications, ensuring clear and effective messaging to stakeholders, employees, and the public.
- Use data management systems to track and report information, providing insights and recommendations to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree related to Human Services, with a strong understanding of community disability services and human resource management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory role, providing employee performance management and leadership development.
- Value, respect, and support the rights of people of all abilities, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal relations and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage complex situations and build trust with employees and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Use of vehicle for work required, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, required upon hire.
- Supervisory and Leadership education and/or training certificates, with a focus on human resource management and community disability services.
- Experience working with Government of Alberta human services funding sources/contracts, with a strong understanding of policy and regulatory requirements.
- Human Resource Management training and experience, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
