Join Pro Vita Care Management as a Senior Healthcare Professional providing exceptional nursing care to our residents. We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) to join our team.

About the Role

This is a permanent position offering 35 hours of work per week in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate will be required to administer medications, apply aseptic techniques, and monitor patients' progress while ensuring infection control.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and ensure timely administration;
  • Apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing for wound care;
  • Conduct specimen collection and process patient samples for laboratory analysis;
  • Ensure infection control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the facility;
  • Monitor nutritional intake and provide guidance on healthy eating habits;
  • Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files;
  • Record vital signs and monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy;
  • Provide technical assistance to surgeons by laying out instruments, setting up equipment, assisting surgical teams with gowns and gloves, and passing instruments to surgeons during procedures;
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care to patients;
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team;
Qualifications
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work;
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination;
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate;
