About the Role

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the filing of all GST/HST/QST, retail sales tax, insurance premium tax, and other periodic tax returns and remittances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of the annual GST/HST & QST returns, and Annual Information returns for selected listed financial institutions
  • Manage the design, execution, and maintenance of indirect tax policies, processes, and internal control documentation
  • Identify and lead the implementation of tax process improvements and indirect tax opportunities
  • Research and screen new tax legislation to determine impact on the organization
  • Review legal agreements and provide indirect tax advice and technical support to ensure compliance with federal and provincial laws and regulations and minimize tax risk
  • Manage internal and external indirect tax audits
  • Manage tax compliance & governance projects
  • Collaborate with other departments on tax related matters and other special projects as required
Requirements
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 7+ years experience
What We Offer

Vaco offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $130,000/year and a dynamic work environment.
