Overview

Nova Hotels, a family-owned and operated hotel chain in Western Canada, is seeking an experienced Night Auditor to join their team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to assist with the nightly audit process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.

This role is perfect for someone who is organized, has strong analytical skills, and can maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and balance daily revenues, including room charges, food and beverage sales, and other departmental income;
  • Verify and reconcile all credit card transactions and ensure accurate posting to guest folios;
  • Perform express check-outs and authorize credit cards as needed;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including night audit summaries and revenue reconciliation;
  • Distribute reports to management and staff as required;
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, such as responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hospitality or related industry;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software;
  • Physical stamina to work long hours, including evenings and weekends.
