Job Summary

The Corporate Counsel will be an integral member of the PepsiCo Foods Canada (PFC) Legal Team. This role will provide legal advice on a variety of matters, including commercial agreements, procurement due diligence, and marketing compliance policies and procedures. The Corporate Counsel will also perform legal research, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and provide support for North American supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for:

Supply Chain
  • Developing legal strategies and policies to advance the business agenda of the PepsiCo Foods Canada Supply Chain Team
  • Preparing and reviewing critical supplier agreements and contract compliance

Procurement
  • Providing commercial advice to the PepsiCo Global and PepsiCo Canada Procurement Teams, including the preparation and negotiation of agreements, dispute resolution, and policy development
  • Performing due diligence and preparing diligence materials
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements

Marketing
  • Advising on compliance with marketing law and PepsiCo Marketing policies and compliance process
  • Providing commercial advice to the Marketing Team, including the preparation of talent agreements, sponsorships, and supporting agreements, as well as dispute resolution and policy development

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have an LLB or JD from a leading university, with active admission to the Law Society of Ontario or a common law provincial bar in Canada. They will also possess outstanding writing skills, strong research skills, and excellent oral communication skills. Additional experience in the foodservice industry is highly beneficial.
