About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (SSE) Advisor to join our team at EQUANS in Montréal. As an SSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on SSE matters
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions
  • Develop and implement SSE training programs for employees
  • Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Participate in the development of SSE policies and procedures
  • Provide support for incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain SSE documentation and records
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or Environmental Science
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to various sites and locations
