Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Windows 11 App Developer to join our team at Applied Thermal Control Ltd. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that run on the Windows 11 operating system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Windows 11 Applications: Utilize modern programming languages, such as C#,.NET, and XAML, to create high-quality, user-friendly, and innovative applications that leverage the capabilities of Windows 11.
  • Create User Interfaces: Design and develop user interfaces that adhere to Windows 11 design guidelines and provide an exceptional user experience.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with a team of developers and collaborate with designers and product managers to review and improve code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Identify and Resolve Technical Issues: Identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and other technical issues in the codebase.
  • Ensure Application Compatibility: Ensure that applications are compatible with various Windows 11 devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and 2-in-1 devices.
  • Implement Responsive Design: Consider responsive design principles for different screen sizes and resolutions.
  • Integrate with Windows 11 Features: Integrate with Windows 11 features and APIs, such as Live Tiles, Notifications, Cortana, and Windows Ink, to enhance the functionality of your apps.
  • Utilize Cloud Services and APIs: Utilize cloud services and third-party APIs when necessary.
  • Implement Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices to protect user data and the integrity of the application.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with Windows Store and Microsoft's security guidelines.
  • Conduct Thorough Testing: Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and UI testing, to identify and fix issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Teams: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure high-quality app releases.
  • Document Code and APIs: Create and maintain documentation for code, APIs, and application architecture.
  • Provide Technical Documentation: Provide technical documentation to assist in onboarding new team members.
  • Stay Updated with Windows 11 Updates: Stay updated with the latest Windows 11 updates, technologies, and best practices.
  • Attend Workshops and Conferences: Attend workshops, conferences, and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Higher Degree: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in programming languages such as C#,.NET, and XAML.
  • Windows 11 App Development Experience: Experience with Windows 11 app development or prior experience with Windows 10 app development.
  • Windows 11 Design Guidelines Familiarity: Familiarity with the Windows 11 design guidelines and user interface principles.
  • Problem-Solving and Debugging Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Software Development Best Practices: Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing.
  • Collaboration and Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Windows App Development Tools and Technologies: Experience with tools and technologies commonly used in Windows app development, such as Visual Studio, Windows App SDK, and Windows Store submissions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Development Experience: Experience with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) development.
  • Cloud Services and Backend Development Experience: Familiarity with cloud services and backend development for Windows apps.
  • Microsoft Azure and DevOps Tools Experience: Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and DevOps tools.
  • Agile Development Methodologies Experience: Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Published Windows 11 Apps on the Microsoft Store: Published Windows 11 apps on the Microsoft Store.
