Overview: We are seeking a skilled Windows 11 Application Engineer to take charge of the design, development, and upkeep of applications tailored for the Windows 11 platform. This role involves close collaboration with a diverse team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver top-notch, user-centric, and innovative applications that fully utilize the features of Windows 11.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development: Design and create applications for Windows 11 using contemporary programming languages such as C#, .NET, and XAML.
  • User Interface Design: Develop user interfaces that comply with Windows 11 design standards, ensuring an outstanding user experience.
  • Code Review: Work alongside team members to enhance code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges within the codebase.
  • Device Compatibility: Ensure applications function seamlessly across various Windows 11 devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and 2-in-1 devices.
  • Responsive Design: Apply responsive design principles to accommodate different screen sizes and resolutions.
  • Feature Integration: Integrate with Windows 11 features and APIs, such as Live Tiles, Notifications, Cortana, and Windows Ink, to enhance application functionality.
  • Cloud Services: Utilize cloud services and third-party APIs as required.
  • Security Practices: Implement best practices for security to safeguard user data and maintain application integrity.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Windows Store and Microsoft's security protocols.
  • Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit and UI testing, to identify and rectify issues.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation for code, APIs, and application architecture.
  • Onboarding Support: Provide technical documentation to facilitate the onboarding of new team members.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest Windows 11 updates, technologies, and best practices.
  • Professional Development: Participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, and XAML.
  • Experience in Windows 11 application development or prior experience with Windows 10 applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows 11 design guidelines and user interface principles.
  • Strong analytical and debugging abilities.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly.
  • Experience with tools and technologies relevant to Windows app development, such as Visual Studio, Windows App SDK, and Windows Store submissions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) development.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and backend development for Windows applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and DevOps tools.
  • Experience with agile development practices.
  • Published applications on the Microsoft Store.
