Clinical Nurse Specialist

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong educational background and relevant experience in immunodeficiency and hereditary angioedema. You should be a registered nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and have current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Key Skills and Abilities- Proficiency in intravenous therapy
- Ability to respond to adverse reactions to treatment and provide patient support
- Knowledge of SCIG/C1-INH blood products
- Current knowledge of patient education techniques, methods, and procedures for treatment of SCIG/C1 Esterase Inhibitor patients
- Comprehensive knowledge of blood products and current transfusion practices
- Ability to plan and organize workload, establish priorities, and accomplish objectives
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to deal with conflict situations, new or unexpected events
- Ability to operate related equipment, including a computer and related software tools
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
