Software Engineer for Global Network Expansion

At Remitly Inc., we're seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Global Network team. As an SDE II, you will play a crucial role in scaling our funding and disbursement processing across vast operational regions. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with fellow engineers to drive technical vision forward.

The successful candidate will develop new partner integrations for our pay-in and pay-out networks, potentially working with partners serving over 170 countries. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that are well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient.

\

You will work closely with the Product Manager to break down tasks, provide estimates, and discuss tradeoffs. Additionally, you will partner with Operations team members globally to offer technical recommendations for customer-facing problems. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

\

We are looking for someone with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 4 years of experience in building, shipping, and maintaining consumer software products is required. Proficiency in Java, GoLang, or other general-purpose languages is necessary.

\

The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale database systems like MySQL, DynamoDB, and monitoring systems such as Prometheus and VictoriaMetrics. Strong knowledge of technical architecture and system design concepts is also expected. Clear writing and communication skills are vital for success in this position.

\

In return, Remitly offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We value diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment for all employees.
