We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our Primary Health Care team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Work with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related problems
- Participate in interprofessional medical rounds and provide patient education
- Contribute to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services
- Ensure safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist who possesses:
- Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
- Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $53.24 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and a defined benefit pension plan.
