About the Opportunity

As a Clinical Pharmacist with Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will work collaboratively with an interprofessional team to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy. Your responsibilities will include working on selected medical services, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in interprofessional medical rounds, providing patient education, and making therapeutic recommendations to the team. You will also be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient) as well as contributing to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
  • Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

$43.67 - $53.24 Hourly
