Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Health Sciences Association of BC. The successful candidate will have a strong background in administrative support, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our members and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to our team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and databases, including membership information and event details.
- Coordinate meetings and events, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and arranging logistics.
- Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- 5 years or more of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a union or association setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
