Security Lead Hand Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Lead Hand to join our team at the World Exchange Plaza in Ottawa. As a Security Lead Hand, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents, as well as investigating routine incidents and responding to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide general tower and parking lot patrols
* Write reports and investigate routine incidents
* Respond to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner
* Provide high customer service
* Lock up and unlock buildings
* Respond to assistance requests from clients and retail clients
* Ensure the safety and security of the general public on the property
* Assist the public with directions within the building
* Assist tenants and the public with information inquiries
* Sign in and out contractors
* Assist tenants and the public with the use of the wheelchair access lift
* Close down the desk for the evening and return building equipment to the control center
* Patrol the retail section and parking garage
* Cross-train on all roles

**Requirements:**

* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
* Valid Ontario Security Guard License
* Valid First Aid/CPR - Level C certification
* Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
* Able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
* Minimum 3 years security experience required, or 1 year of demonstrated Security Supervision experience
* Demonstrates superior customer service skills and able to work independently
* Minimum of a High School Diploma
* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
* Able to complete ongoing training as directed by the Site Manager or Client Service Manager
