About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Medical Assistant to join our team at Nand K. Goel Professional Corporation. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ophthalmology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, providing exceptional support and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, accurately recording and reporting results.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments, providing a welcoming and efficient experience for patients.
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient care and satisfaction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict data protection protocols.
