Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists.
    • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative duties.
    • Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments to ensure accurate results.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure seamless patient flow.
    • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history to provide comprehensive care.
  • Office Management
    • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
    • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties.
  • Screening and Health Benefits
    • Screen patients for eligibility and ensure they meet the necessary requirements.
    • Provide information on health benefits, including our healthcare plan.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions
  • 34 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
