Job Description

The Position

Within this exciting and growing context, the Commercial Business Technology Director for Canada will serve as a leader in the business transformation, across functions and countries, and act as the single point of accountability to ensure that technology solutions and services enable the Organon journey in the market.

This individual should have an entrepreneurial mindset and needs a healthy mix of digital leadership, ability to define and drive change through technology, excellent analytics capabilities, ability to have a truly dynamic, innovative and agile mindset.

Responsibilities

Transform

  • Proactively identify business needs and associated technology solutions and needs as well as manage a governance structure to facilitate the prioritization and project selection process, and drive alignment on selection of optimal technology investments.

  • Partner with functional leaders to understand the market and industry business drivers in order to shape and influence the business and articulate and sell a cohesive BT strategy.

  • Be a leader in the Organon BT community and contribute to build a strong, highly engaged, and value-driven BT organization.

Grow

  • Ensure the technology portfolio and roadmaps are integrated with the company transformation agenda and global BT strategy and ensure prioritization and reconciliation to meet business objectives.

  • Partner with global BT colleagues to deliver on the technology portfolio across all sites within the market.

  • Proactively seek ways to improve BT community's cohesiveness and effectiveness in achieving company objectives.

  • Develop and implement project plans that include interdependencies and risk management solutions.

Run

  • Manage and enhance operational systems to ensure defined and evolving service levels are met.

  • Manage resources to deliver on business, functional and corporate objectives. Identify ways to optimize available resources and deliver portfolio with maximum business and technology efficiency.

  • Work with other externals IT partners and follow global contracts to provide technology operations and support services to required service levels.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Science or Business is required.

  • Ten to fifteen years' experience in IT management, working with business leadership teams and driving IT strategy, specific IT skills to delivery of IT programs and support processes across divisions and countries.

  • Strategic thinking; cross-divisionally and working across boundaries.

  • Business & financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior business executives and with internal and external Healthcare and IT solutions providers.

  • Relationship management skillset (demand shaping, networking, servicing, value-realization).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience in Analytics and Digital, supporting a commercial organization in a business competitive environment.

  • Knowledge/experience of development and deployment of innovative solutions / projects within Pharma domain from conceptualization through delivery.

  • Fluency in English and French is required.
