Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee the daily operations of our landscaping team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in grounds maintenance and landscape construction, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient completion of projects.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
  • Landscape Construction: Plan and estimate labor and materials for landscape construction projects, including deck and wall construction.
  • Project Management: Organize and direct construction work, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate work records and logs, including materials and labor costs.
  • Supply Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance and landscape construction.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Experience with pick-up trucks, small engine equipment, and tractors.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
