Role Summary:

As a Financial Planner at Scotiabank, you will be responsible for developing and deepening client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service within the mass affluent market. Your primary goal is to provide investment and financial planning advice to help clients meet their unique goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial planning for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning.
  • Develop and implement customized financial strategies and solutions to meet client needs.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships through exceptional advice and service.
  • Foster business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in financial planning and investment sales is preferred.
  • Hold a Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation and/or a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • Be mutual funds certified and have current accreditation for MFDA licensing requirements.
  • Be goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, and regulatory environments.
