Job Description: Demand Planner

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our Merchandise Planning & Allocations team. As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and owning the Demand Plan and Inventory strategies for specific product portfolios or regions.

You will balance your decisions based on Merchant intent, Sales Forecast, Revenue expectations, and Supply Chain capabilities to support our overall business plan. This ensures optimal product availability for an exceptional guest experience, while minimizing excess inventories.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and own the Demand Plan and Inventory strategies for specific product portfolios or regions.
  • Work closely with Commercial and Merchant Teams on business planning for the responsible portfolio/region to generate specific demand plans to support strategic business growth while controlling inventory risks.
  • Analyze historical data, trending information, and other available data on product, region, and channel to develop an accurate demand plan at SKU level by season and period.
  • Integrate ongoing feedback from all markets, regions, and channels in a timely manner to accurately capture all necessary business trends in your demand plan.
  • Lead monthly S&OP review process for your responsible portfolio(s) and provide clarity on progress towards your planning's KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the supply planning team to confirm supply availability to meet demand projections and adjust the demand plan as needed in consideration of supply chain constraints while minimizing or eliminating negative business impacts.
  • Create multi-channel planning strategies and establish accurate inventory requirements (OTB) to achieve our Strategic Business Plan (SBP) expectations.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Business, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting, or Financial modeling experience.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities, combined with business acumen, with the ability to master numbers and relate them to the rest of the organization.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically, with a persistent attention to detail and a high level of comfort working with large quantities of data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence different levels of stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
