Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary:
The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join its Faculty of Medicine finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies that drive business growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making;
- Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to department heads and other stakeholders;
- Manage and analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial systems and processes;
- Develop and deliver financial reports and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders;
- Provide training and support to finance team members on financial systems and processes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks;
- Knowledge of financial systems and processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
What We Offer:
The University of British Columbia offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $73,837.50 - $107,440.08 CAD monthly, and a comprehensive benefits program. We also offer opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
