Job Title: Excavation Foreman/Woman

Big Dig Excavating Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Excavation Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the excavation process, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, and coordinating with other project supervisors and managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Requisition materials and supplies
  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Train or arrange for training
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in excavation or a related field
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg

Work Environment:

Our excavation site is located in a rural area, and the work environment is dusty and outdoors. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with the physical demands of the job.

The primary language spoken at the work site is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime required.
