We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Eataly North America. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating and serving specialty hot and cold beverages according to Eataly's recipes and guests' special requests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and Serve Beverages: Prepare and serve authentic Italian espresso, coffee, and other café drinks at multiple counters.
- Provide Exceptional Service: Provide guests with exceptional service and product details, such as coffee blend or preparation description.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Set up stations and replenish displays neatly, including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.).
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Ensure all items are dated and follow First in First Out (FIFO) standards.
- Operate Point of Sale System: Operate the Point of Sales (POS) system, ensuring accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills.
- Clean and Sanitize Work Areas: Clean and sanitize work areas in accordance with supervising health agency of the area.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation, and product. Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
- Availability and Physical Demands: Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
