Job Title: CG Supervisor

At Moving Picture Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CG Supervisor to lead our global discipline teams. As a key member of our creative operations team, you will be responsible for providing creative guidance to artists, technical direction to departments, and ensuring the success of show deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a clear creative delivery strategy to ensure successful show outcomes.
  • Manage and maintain MPC standards across all sites, providing technical direction and guidance to departments.
  • Collaborate with show leads to identify inefficiencies and technical problems with the toolset and pipeline, and implement plans to resolve these issues.
  • Drive dailies sessions, providing clear briefing, feedback, and approvals to artists' work, while maintaining creative quality standards and staying within allocated bid days.
  • Manage the render forecast, working closely with lighting and production teams to maintain its accuracy.
  • Control and manage the storage and sync footprint on the project, reviewing and reducing where possible.
Requirements:
  • Thorough experience in VFX, with a strong understanding of show delivery strategy and process.
  • Broad knowledge of Houdini/Maya/Katana, with some experience in leading or supervising.
  • Some knowledge of a coding language, such as PY/VEX/C++/MEL.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to embody our company values.
