We're looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Learning and Development Consultant.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, such as diabetes, obesity, and cardio-metabolic health. They will be responsible for creating and enabling employees to acquire deep expertise within these areas, in a manner that is engaging, efficient, and anchored in the realities of the Canadian Healthcare landscape. Additionally, they will help employees to embrace and improve capabilities that will lead to improved customer experiences.

The role of the Learning and Development Consultant requires strong facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will be proficient in presentation and facilitation skills that optimize the transfer of knowledge to adult learners. They will also be able to connect with a broad range of audiences and leverage the use of virtual training platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Business Partnership:
    Leverage effective relationships with key business partners in marketing, sales, and medical to identify gaps and desired learning outcomes, that inform the delivery of appropriate training resources to the sales force.
  2. Training:
    Provide initial and ongoing training of the sales force on foundational skills and knowledge.
  3. Learning Solutions:
    Use Adult Learning, Blended Learning and Modern Learning Principles to design, develop, and implement sales training to build clinical confidence and product knowledge.
  4. Business Ownership and Accountability:
    Demonstrate knowledge of disease state, product portfolio, and therapeutic options.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. Minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferably in Diabetes or cardio-metabolic health
  3. Experience and passion for customer-centric selling approach / philosophy
  4. Excellent facilitation & communication skills, both written and verbal
  5. Bilingualism (French and English) is an important asset
  6. Ability to connect with broad range of audiences and ability to leverage use of virtual training platforms
  7. Experience working within or knowledge of the relevant therapeutic area.
  8. Highly skilled in project management and Microsoft Office tools – Excel, PPT, Word, Teams etc.
  9. Important traits: Learning agility, autonomy, optimism, resilience, passion for work, adaptability, desire for achievement
  10. Strong influence, communication and networking skills to build relationships with cross functional leadership and peers
  11. High energy, drive and enthusiasm towards delivering excellence in capability work and experiences
  12. Proven decision-making and critical thinking skills to help guide strategic and tactical planning.
