Senior Health and Safety Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Health and Safety Lead to join our team at Randstad in Edmonton. Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, this role is centered around driving health and safety leadership, support, and recommendations to all employees, supervisors/managers, and contractors within the manufacturing department.
This position requires strong leadership in promoting a culture of safety excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and near-miss events.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A strong background in health and safety, preferably with experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
Randstad offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
