Role Overview

The Therapeutic Rehabilitation Professional is a crucial member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to residents. This role requires strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and body systems as they relate to disease processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assigned therapeutic treatments to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain and adapt equipment used in the rehabilitation program, adhering to safety standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Rehabilitation Assistant Certificate.
  • Prior experience working in a long-term or chronic care facility, with proficiency in using personal computers in a Windows environment.
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong understanding of bio-chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and body systems.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic exercise principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in repairing, modifying, and adapting technological equipment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records (EHR), Internet, e-mails, and MDS.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
