Job Overview

The City of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Transformation Lead to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading technology procurements and related operations in a large-scale public sector organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project management plans to integrate efficient interventions and improve efficiencies at the City.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cloud service requirements and determine optimal cloud solutions tailored to digital transformation.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring transparency and fairness in decision making and project implementation.
  • Leverage key metrics to identify problem areas and adopt emerging business models with an entrepreneurial mindset and creative approach.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants, municipal partners, Provincial/Federal Government, and non-government agencies to support smooth technology procurement processes.
  • Lead integration initiatives from conception through process mapping, risk analysis, financial analysis, resource allocation, and contract management and performance evaluation.
  • Direct the development and implementation of divisional change management strategies, including training, communications, and staff engagement initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Extensive senior-level experience leading technology procurements and related operations in a large-scale public or private sector organization.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex technology sourcing contracts and manage legal and contractual obligations.
  • Experience supervising and motivating staff in fast-paced and deadline-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, with high levels of influence and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare reports, correspondence, presentation materials, and Council reports.

What We Offer

The City of Toronto offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a generous pension plan.
