We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Services Manager to join our team at Heaven's Door Yurt. As a key member of our resort's dining team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure food preparation meets HDY service and quality standards.
  • Accurately and timely take and enter guest food and beverage orders.
  • Perform all cash handling duties, including opening, balancing, and closing.
  • Clean and stock the dining area to provide a clean and pleasant environment for guests.
  • Assist in developing and implementing daily schedules as required.
  • Coordinate and plan special events.
  • Provide administrative support, including inventory, ordering, and reporting.
  • Maintain effective communication through the restaurant, department, and resort.
  • Ensure accurate restaurant processes, including cash-out and closing procedures.
  • Provide support to staff through guidance on guest issues, restaurant procedures, and task delegation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year previous customer service and cash handling experience in a cafeteria or food service environment.
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience managing a kitchen, food preparation, and facilities for a dining establishment.
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience with cash handling and administration.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Point-of-Sale software.
  • Previous resort restaurant supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Current Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 certification is an asset.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability is required.
  • Ability to operate a snowmobile while pulling a loaded trailer.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects.
  • Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions.
