Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yurt Lead to join our team at Heaven's Door Yurt. As a key member of our resort's dining team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food is prepared according to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Take and enter guest food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform all cash handling duties, including opening, balancing, and closing.
  • Clean and stock the dining area to provide a clean and pleasant environment for our guests.
  • Assist in developing and implementing daily schedules as required.
  • Coordinate and plan special events and activities.
  • Provide administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, and reporting.
  • Maintain effective communication with the restaurant, department, and resort teams.
  • Ensure all restaurant processes are carried out accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of previous customer service and cash handling experience in a cafeteria or food service environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience managing a kitchen, food preparation, and facilities for a dining establishment.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience with cash handling and administration.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Point-of-Sale software.
  • Previous resort restaurant supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 certification is an asset.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability is required.
  • Ability to operate a snowmobile while pulling a loaded trailer is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects.
  • Ability to withstand brief exposure to extreme weather conditions.
