About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Melvin Tan Sushi Company. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our sushi dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train our team of chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to prepare and present dishes to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of all ingredients and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure that the kitchen is clean and well-maintained, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Cantonese cuisine.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
