Store Operations Manager

Nesters Market is currently seeking an experienced Meat Department Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in the Meat Department. This is a full-time role that reports to the Store Manager.
We are looking for a strong leader who has a passion for fresh food and can efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Meat Department, including staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision to department staff to ensure quality customer service and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Maximize sales and gross profit through effective and creative merchandising, including visual displays and promotions.
- Maintain department inventory by placing product orders regularly while adhering to departmental budgets and ensuring that all products are fresh and of high quality.
- Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt, polite, and effective manner, ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service.
- Comply with the Company's established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies.
- Post-secondary Meat Cutting training or journeyman certification is preferred, as is knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies, and practices.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and stat holidays, is required.
