Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC).
  • Determine weldability of materials and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, and vision care benefits.
  • Life insurance and permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
