About the Role

VShah Foods Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are equipped to provide excellent service.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Staff Scheduling: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that adequate coverage is provided during peak periods.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
