Job Overview

At Eataly North America, we're seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating and serving specialty hot and cold beverages according to Eataly's recipes and guests' special requests. You will be knowledgeable about all coffee menu items, provide high-quality, fast-paced service, and be able to work at multiple QSR counters performing various functions.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and serve authentic Italian espresso, coffee, and other café drinks at multiple counters
* Provide guests with exceptional service and product details, such as coffee blend or preparation description
* Set up stations and replenish displays neatly, including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
* Ensure all items are dated and follow First in First Out (FIFO) standards
* Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for guests according to their specifications
* Operate the Point of Sales (POS) system, ensuring accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
* Clean and sanitize work areas in accordance with supervising health agency of the area
* Work across all QSR counters serving pastry, gelato, pizza, and other Italian delicacies
* Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume
* Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

* Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation, and product
* Outstanding communication and guest service skills
* Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production
* 1+ year barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
* High school diploma preferred
