We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounts Underwriting Consultant to join our team at Manulife. As a key member of our New Business Team, you will be responsible for establishing rates and retentions for new and existing Group Benefit plans, ensuring that the appropriate target profitability levels are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive profitable growth and retention of corporate accounts
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure administrative and plan design features can be managed
  • Prepare quotation submissions, including responses to questionnaires
  • Onboard new clients, developing complex client structures and applications
  • Improve operating performance to achieve long-term financial success
  • Negotiate contracts, including financial arrangements, benefit plan provisions, and service agreements

What We're Looking For

  • Post-secondary education with a strong business, mathematics, and analytical aptitude
  • Deep understanding of the Group Insurance market, products, and services
  • Professional risk management expertise with demonstrated work-related underwriting experience within Group Benefits
  • Bilingualism, French and English, is preferred
  • Proven ability to effectively partner with and support sales teams
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with exceptional proficiency in Excel and Word
